PUBG: prepare for your first drop

Use Training Mode to learn your equipment, then connect your landing choice to the shrinking battleground.

Learn the tools before the match

PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS includes Training Mode at Camp Jackal, where the official guide recommends practising weapons, equipment, parachuting and driving. Choose a small set of tasks for your first visit: try a weapon, find its controls and practise moving with it. This gives you a clearer starting point than changing several settings during a live fight, when you also need to watch other players.

Connect landing and movement

The main battle royale loop starts with choosing a landing location, finding equipment and surviving as the Blue Zone shrinks. Open the map before jumping and agree on a destination if you are playing with friends. After landing, keep checking where you need to go next. The official overview lists Solo, Duo and Squad play, so make sure your group has selected the intended team format.
