VALORANT on PC and console: what is shared?

Separate account content from matchmaking and rank before organising a cross-platform group.

Matchmaking follows the platform group

Riot’s console guide says Xbox and PlayStation players can play together, while console players do not enter matches against PC players. PC and console also maintain separate rank and matchmaking ratings. Before arranging a group, establish which platform everyone will use. Sharing the same game name and friends does not mean that a PC player can join a console match with them.

Link the intended Riot account

Riot lists account level, recruited Agents, weapon skins, currencies and Battle Pass progress among the content shared between PC and console. The guide therefore recommends linking the correct Riot account when setting up console play. Check that account before connecting an Xbox or PlayStation profile, and keep ranked progression separate in your expectations. Shared purchases and progress describe account content; they do not merge the two competitive ladders.
